About the Client

The Cosmic Connect is a Wix-based ecommerce store specializing in crystals, orgone energy tools, spiritual wellness products, tarot readings, energy healing services, and educational courses. Their product pages already contained everything a shopper needs – pricing, descriptions, specifications, usage guidance, and customer reviews.

Google, however, relies on structured data rather than visible page content alone to understand product information. Wix generates Product Schema automatically, but on this store several properties Google looks for were incomplete or not populated, which limited the pages’ eligibility for Product rich results.

The Challenge

The Cosmic Connect’s products appeared in Google as standard blue links while competing listings displayed prices, availability, and star ratings. The information itself was not the problem: pricing, inventory, shipping terms, and customer reviews all existed inside the Wix store. The structured data describing that information to Google was the gap.

Why Wix’s Default Product Schema Wasn’t Enough

An audit of the store’s product pages found that Wix’s automatically generated Product Schema was incomplete for several properties Google uses to build Product rich results:

  • shippingDetails and hasMerchantReturnPolicy were absent, even though the store publishes shipping and return terms.
  • aggregateRating and review were not populated, despite customer reviews existing on the product pages.
  • The offers data was incomplete, leaving Google without the full price and availability picture it needs.

Without these properties, Google had limited structured information to work with, so the pages remained standard blue links.

The Solution

The client wanted a no-code way to generate complete, Google-compliant Product Schema. JSON Schema App audited the existing markup, identified the incomplete properties, and supplemented them with a full Product Schema implementation – including offer details, shipping details, merchant return policy, and review data drawn from the store’s own on-site customer reviews. The schema stays synchronized automatically as prices, stock, and reviews change, with no manual JSON-LD maintenance.

Before Schema Implementation

  • Product listings appeared as standard blue links.
  • Google did not display Product rich results.
  • Price, availability, ratings, and shipping information were not shown in search.
Before JSON Schema App (1)

Before: a standard blue link, while a competitor’s listing shows price, availability, delivery, and returns.

After Schema Implementation

Approximately 10–15 days after implementation, Google began displaying Product rich results for eligible product pages. The enhanced listings included:

  • Star ratings with review count
  • Product price
  • Availability
  • Shipping information
After JSON Schema App (1)

After: the same query now shows star rating, price, stock status, and free delivery.

Results

Instead of standard blue links, eligible product pages now display shopping information – star ratings, pricing, availability, and shipping details – directly in Google Search, giving potential customers more reasons to click through. The first enhanced listings appeared approximately 10–15 days after deployment.

Google controls the appearance of rich results, and they are not guaranteed for every eligible page or search.

Why JSON Schema App?

The Cosmic Connect chose JSON Schema App to enhance Wix’s default Product Schema without writing or maintaining JSON-LD code. The platform identified the incomplete structured data, implemented Google-compliant Product Schema, and automated ongoing schema management so product pages stay optimized as the store evolves.

Key Takeaways

  • Wix’s default Product Schema may not include every property needed for Product rich results.
  • shippingDetails and hasMerchantReturnPolicy are required for shipping and returns annotations to appear in listings.
  • Review markup must come from reviews collected on your own store – aggregating third-party reviews into schema is against Google’s guidelines.
  • JSON Schema App automates complete Product Schema without coding, and keeps it synchronized as products change.
  • Eligible product pages began displaying Product rich results approximately 10–15 days after implementation.
